The MT Pit is an organization dedicated to providing a Broadway-like musical experience for High Schools and Community Theaters that are unable, due to finances, talent pool, or space to provide a live orchestra. These are not MIDI background tracks! These accompaniment tracks are recorded live by some of the finest musicians on the west coast and are produced by award-winning engineer, Barry Gibbons, #1 song writer, Jim Funk, and Engineer/Producer, Michael Gibbons.

Barry Gibbons, Founder/Artistic Director
is an award-winning audio engineer and founder of Platinum Sound and Mastering Labs, a state of the art recording facility, where The MT Pit tracks are recorded. He is known for the quality of his audio productions and his unique and masterful touch in 'finish work.' His work on musicals, in particular, shows his love for Broadway music and his care for the content of the musicals.
Jim Funk, Founder/Musical Director
is a well-known number-one hit songwriter/musician. His sensitivity to musical feeling and attention to detail is immediately evident to all who hear the works produced by The MT Pit.
